Meet the Riders

Evan Boone, 21, from Sierra Vista, AZ.

I’ve raced bikes for most of my life, as I started at the age of 8 years old racing BMX. Through racing BMX for 6-7 years I achieved a couple top 10 and 20 rankings for my National Age Group. Through High School I raced XC mountain bikes with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), and received 3 state titles. In the off season of NICA, I raced road and podiumed at a few 24-hour mountain bikes races.

In the beginning of my senior year of high school, the local bike shop owners introduced me to track cycling. With no local tracks I ventured to California and tried it out a few times. At the end of my senior year, at my first junior nationals, I won the 2018 Junior National Championships Match Sprints. Later that year I broke a 21-year-old Flying 200m (17-18) National record as well. I started training for track full time in late September of 2018. Then in 2019 I started working with the Olympic Development program through USA Cycling.

I am currently a full time student at Colorado Mesa University. Working towards a Bachelors in Sports Management, I‘ll be a Senior this year.

Cycling has been my greatest passion for most of my life, and still is now. I love the sport of cycling, I love to train, and I love to compete. From an early age, competing at the highest level of racing has always been a dream. I strive to be the best version of myself, and I believe that best version can compete at the top level. I’d love the opportunity to represent my family and country at the Olympics.
